The waters around South Fyn are some of the best in Denmark for kayak tours, and this area of outstanding natural beauty has a great deal to offer.

Round Thurø Kayak Tour

Thurø is a small island to the south of Fyn. The island is shaped like a horseshoe, and has around 500 inhabitants . Thurø is connected to Funen by a small bridge. Round Thurø is a short one day kayak tour (approximately 15 km) which takes you close to both country and town. The stretch along the Thurø Reef is very special. Tåsinge is another small island south of Fyn. It covers an area of 70 km² and has ca. 6,000 inhabitants.

In calm weather, this is an easy kayak tour, but keep in mind the current in Svendborg Sound, which is strongest in the sailing channel. The Round Tåsinge kayak tour can be done in one day, or taken at a more leisurely pace over two.
